Technical Committee of the South Asian Games has officially announced total number of medals that athletes will compete for, in a press conference organized on Saturday.

According to the coordinator of the committee Ganga Bahadur Thapa, almost all its preparation has reached to an end. Technical committee has also already finalized the venues and required human resources for each game.

As said by the coordinator Thapa, a total of two thousand and 35 national and international officials are required for the SAG. The number of international delegates including referee, judge, and jury are 6 hundred and 13 while national referees, Jude and jury are seven hundred and 32. Likewise, six hundred and 90 technical assistants will be mobilized.

The press conference also informed 2019 SAG to offer 319 gold and silver medals to the champions whereas, 481 athletes will receive the bronze medal. The highest number of gold medals, that is 38, has been allocated to Swimming. Likewise, Athletics, Taekwondo and Ushu will respectively compete for 36, 29, and 22 gold medals.
